New Ammonia
After a week of a high fever, I took the advice of a nurse and went in to the emergency room at Kaiser last night. After waiting around for three hours, breathing into some plastic thing-a-ma-jigger, and a chest x-ray, the verdict was in. I have PNEUMONIA. What the fuck? Who gets pneumonia? Not people like me! I felt like I was in some bad Star Trek episode where I was beamed to an alien planet and picked up a crazy virus. But in this episode, it’s a really bad, bad, bad, son-of-a-bitch, mother-fucker called bacteria. ACK, son of a bitch! As you can probably imagine, I’m pissed. Not only am I pissed, I’m fucking bored out of my mind! It’s difficult to concentrate and do my studies, sitting upright hurts, my cough hurts like I’m about to cough out my bloody lungs, I’m stuck in my own home, and I can’t do anything but lay in bed! This is my hell. Who fucking gets pneumonia? bah!!

Sunday Night Fever
Out of the blue, I came down with a 100 degree fever on Sunday night. It came down like a rocket ship and my muscles were aching like mad. It progressively got worse and went up to 102 degrees. ACK! I’m so over getting sick! Even sitting on my ass make my muscles ache. Anyway, being sick is always a good time for me to write since I’m forced to lay around.
On Saturday night, a friend of mine had an Okonomiyaki party. It’s this Japanese pancake/pizza thing where you can put on your own toppings and fry it up. Needless to say, it was SOOOOOOO freakin’ good! I would love to host one of these myself because I already have craving for it. yum, yum…
The hub-ster and I also met up with our friends to go to the Parkway Theater. We went to go see “Scary Movie 4″ …. it was very bad. But, any excuse to go to the Parkway Theater is a good one. For those who don’t know about this place, CHECK IT OUT. You can’t bring your kids (though, sometimes they have the baby brigade), but you can watch a movie for $5.00 and order beer, pizza, burgers, and the most awesome popcorn. Did I say beer? If you get there early enough, you can sit on one of their couches up in front. They are currently building a second site in El Cerrito, but you can find the Parkway in Oakland off Park Blvd.

camera… duh, duh, duh…
I seem to forget my camera when I go to cool events. That’s the main reason to why I haven’t posted for a while. I wanted to get some good pictures of all the awesome geek-ie robots and computer nerds amongst the crafters at the Maker Faire. It was a blast, and the people watching was incredible. I also went to a Composers Inc. concert on Tuesday night and enjoyed a night of contemporary music. The concert really inspired me to kick my butt in gear and start working on projects that mean the most to me. I get side tracked so easily that I often believe I have adult ADD. So, I went over a giant hurdle in my piano piece and hopefully, I’ll have it completed by Monday. Finale, here I come! Gee, I hope I still remember the program. I just installed it on my new desktop computer because my laptop was being a complete jerk. It’s been a while since I’ve entered anything in. Hopefully I took good notes in my Computer Music class that I took in the Fall. Anyway, I have to get it into Finale so that I can possibly have it performed in the Student Comoser’s recital in June, since I have missed the deadline for the May recital. Arg. Since I live so far away from campus, I feel as though I’m out of touch with my colleagues. I think that if I were around my peers more often, I’d stay focused. The life out here in ghetto San Pablo can be a lone one. During the day, it’s just me, my piano, and my dog. Yeah, I’m gonna start a country band now. Hell, I’ve got an accordian, maybe just some depressing polka music? But, Nigel company is good company. Our little dog has been a cute, punk-ass, son of a bitch. When I’m at the piano, he’ll just lay down at my feet by the pedals and chew on his toy. Then he’ll piss me off by peeing in the kitchen while my back is turned. jerk.
Well, I don’t have pictures of any of the cool events I have been to lat
ely, so I’ll share the Nigel with his favorite chew toy…. ducky. I have become such a sucker for cuteness. damn.
